AC Clamp Meters for Electrical Installations and Power Distribution
AC clamp meters are ideal for measuring AC currents in electrical installations, distribution panels, and industrial AC applications. All HIOKI AC clamp meters also support AC and DC voltage measurements, resistance, and continuity testing.
Compact models like the 3280-10F are suited for routine checks, while True RMS models such as the CM3291 ensure reliable readings in circuits with non-sinusoidal currents. For higher safety requirements and extended functions, the CM4141-50 is a versatile option.
Selected models can be combined with the CT6280 Flexible Current Sensor to measure up to 4200 A on large conductors, busbars, and cable bundles. Check out the whole portfolio.

AC/DC Clamp Multimeters for DC, High Voltage, and More
AC/DC clamp multimeters are ideal for measurement tasks beyond standard current checks. They are well suited for testing switching power supplies, inverters, PV installations, and EV charging equipment, where DC measurement, extended functions, and high safety ratings are required.
For smaller currents, models like the 3287 and CM4371-50 offer high resolution and True RMS for reliable readings even with distorted waveforms. The CM4375-50 offers a slim clamp design ideal for confined spaces, while the Clamp Multimeter CM4373-50 handles larger conductors and higher currents.
Selected models support wireless data transfer via the optional Z3210 Bluetooth Adapter and safe DC measurements up to CAT III 2000 V with the P2010 High Voltage Divider.

AC Leakage Clamp Meters for µA Leakage and Long-Term Monitoring
AC Leakage clamp meters are used when RCD trips occur, leakage paths need to be identified, or very small leakage currents can no longer be captured reliably with conventional clamp meters.
HIOKI AC leakage clamp meters measure leakage and differential current but also load current. With True RMS and a 50/60 Hz filter, they isolate leakage currents relevant to RCD or GFCI behavior from higher-frequency components caused by inverters or switching power supplies.
The compact CM4001 Leakage Clamp Meter is suitable for confined panels, the CM4002 focuses on highly sensitive µA leakage diagnosis, and the CM4003 on long-term monitoring with RMS and waveform output. All models can be expanded with the Z3210 Bluetooth Adapter, while the -90 sets already include it.

AC Clamp Power Meters for Power Measurement and Energy Consumption
Unlike DC systems where current and voltage is multiplied, AC power measurement additionally requires accurate phase detection between current and voltage which is included in the calculation.
The CM3286-50 Clamp Power Meter combines clamp current measurement with voltage measurement via test leads to determine active, reactive, and apparent power, as well as power factor and phase angle. It is ideal for load and energy consumption analysis in single-phase circuits and for evaluating balanced and unbalanced three-phase systems.
HIOKI’s expertise in high-precision power analysis reflects the company’s depth of expertise in power measurement. With the optional Z3210 Bluetooth Adapter, measured values can be transferred wirelessly and harmonics analyzed in the app; the adapter is already included in the -90 sets.
