HIOKI Power Quality Analyzers & Power Loggers
Energy monitoring and power quality troubleshooting
HIOKI instruments cover both long-term power logging and detailed power quality analysis for maintenance, energy audits and compliance measurements in the field. Record energy consumption, demand and load profiles over days or weeks, or investigate voltage dips, swells, interruptions, transients and harmonics. Choose the right instrument for energy monitoring, load analysis and troubleshooting in electrical systems.
- Power Quality Analyzers – Detect and document dips, swells, interruptions, transients and harmonics for troubleshooting, audits and standards-based measurements.
- Power Loggers – Record energy consumption, demand and load profiles over days or weeks for facility management, efficiency checks and load analysis.

Reliable Power Quality Measurement for Monitoring and Compliance
Conduct accurate grid diagnostics with HIOKI power quality analyzers. The PQ3100 enables fast on-site setup for network analysis in maintenance and field troubleshooting while the PQ3198-94 records voltage dips, harmonics, and transients to IEC 61000-4-30 Ed.3 Class A – ideal for energy audits and long-term power quality analysis.
Both models reliably capture voltage, current, power, and frequency on all conductors and enable easy, structured reporting with the free software PQ One. Screen the key parameters for your application in the table below and select your instrument. Also explore the wide range of compatible HIOKI current sensors for current measurements up to 6000 A.

1According to IEC 61000-4-30 Ed.3, Class A offers higher accuracy and reliability in power quality measurements compared to Class S. It requires strict measurement procedures, precise time synchronisation and a wider range of parameters, making it suitable for international comparisons and detailed analyses. In contrast, Class S is designed for basic monitoring with limited accuracy and fewer functions.

Power loggers for monitoring real-world power consumption
HIOKI Clamp-on Power Loggers are designed for energy monitoring, load analysis and maintenance tasks in electrical systems. They record consumption patterns, help identify harmonics and support energy efficiency improvements. With synchronization to 50/60 Hz grids and a wide range of non-intrusive HIOKI current sensors, they offer flexible and precise power logging for facility management, troubleshooting and predictive maintenance. Screen through the table below to find the right tool for your energy monitoring needs and explore our compatible HIOKI current sensors here.
The Power Logger PW3365 offers contactless voltage measurement for safe logging without direct connection to live circuits. The PW3360-21 comes in the same compact design but also features harmonic analysis up to the 40th order.

Power Logger or Power Quality Analyzer: Which one do you need for what?
Both instruments record voltage, current, power, and energy. Some power loggers can also display harmonic values or THD. Still, a power logger is not the same as a power quality analyzer. And it makes a big difference if you want to measure according to IEC61000-4-30
