The HIOKI DT4224 is a universal pocket digital multimeter designed for a wide range of electrical measurement tasks. In addition to AC and DC voltage checks, it supports resistance, capacitance, frequency and diode testing, making it well suited as a first tool for troubleshooting and initial analysis in both field and workshop environments.

With its compact design, the DT4224 takes up very little space in a tool bag or pocket. With battery installed and test leads connected, it weighs approximately 210 g, making it easy to carry for everyday work. Powered by a single AAA battery and protected by a silicone cover, it is suitable for regular use in installation, service and workshop applications.

Measurement Ranges and Safety

The DT4224 is equipped with a clear 6000 count display and an intuitive operating concept that supports efficient troubleshooting and verification tasks. AC and DC voltage ranges from 600 mV to 600 V cover a wide range of measurement situations, from low level signals to mains voltage. With measurement categories up to CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V, it is suitable for work on distribution boards and fixed installations.

For safe troubleshooting in active circuits and complex electrical installations, the instrument is equipped with an integrated protection function that prevents false tripping of circuit breakers in case of measurement errors. If measurements are accidentally performed in the resistance or continuity mode on an active circuit, or if the measurement function is changed with test leads connected, the input impedance remains high. The input is only switched to a low impedance state once the measurement condition is recognized as safe

The L4933 contact pin set is an attachment for HIOKI test leads that enables safe measurements at closely spaced contact points. The front section of the contact pins is 48 mm long and has a diameter of 1.3 mm in the insulated area. The exposed contact area at the tip is 3 mm long, gold plated, and has a diameter of 1.0 mm, while the remaining part of the pin is insulated. Detailed Product OverviewThe L4934 small alligator clip set is an attachment for HIOKI test leads designed for temporary, hands free connection to conductors, terminals and component leads during measurements. The alligator clips are designed for attachment to the HIOKI test leads DT4911, L9207-10, L9208 and L9300 and can also be connected to the L4932 accessory. When used with DT4911, L9207-10 and L9208, the protective tip cap fitted to the test lead, which is required for measurements in higher measurement categories, is removed and replaced by the alligator clip. When used with the L9300, the protective tip cap is unlocked and slid back before attaching the alligator clip. The clip design supports connection to test points with diameters up to 4 mm. The L4934 is rated for a maximum current of 3 A and is suitable for measurements up to CAT II 600 V and CAT III 300 V when used as specified.
