Detailed Product Overview

The CT9556 is a 1-channel current sensor interface designed for use with HIOKI highprecision fluxgate current sensors and current clamps with ME15W connectors. The unit supplies power to the connected sensor and provides the sensor signal as a waveform output on a BNC connector, enabling the connected current sensor to be used with oscilloscopes and other data acquisition systems.

HIOKI current sensors with ME15W connectors provide a standardized output signal of 2 V full scale. The CT9556 outputs this sensor signal directly via the BNC waveform output without modification. As a result, the waveform output accuracy corresponds to the accuracy of the connected current sensor.

In addition to the waveform output, the CT9556 provides an RMS output on a BNC connector with a full-scale level of 2 V DC. The RMS output converts the sensor signal to a DC voltage proportional to the RMS current value, allowing AC current measurement with instruments without RMS conversion, such as data loggers or bench multimeters with data acquisition. The accuracy of the RMS output is ±0.2% of reading ±0.1% of full scale (DC, 50/60 Hz). This value is added to the accuracy specification of the connected current sensor.
