The L9217 is an insulated BNC cable with BNC plugs on both ends and a cable length of 1.6 m. The cable has a maximum rated voltage of 300 V and a maximum rated current of 0.2 A. It is designed for use in measurement and instrumentation environments.

The BNC connectors feature insulated plastic housings that embed the outer contact of the connector in an insulating body. This prevents accidental contact with grounded metal parts and increases electrical safety in measurement setups with higher voltages. The measurement category rating is CAT III 300 V and CAT II 600 V.

A ferrite element on the cable increases the impedance for high-frequency common-mode currents on the cable shield and helps reduce interference in measurement setups with fast switching signals such as inverter or motor tests.

The cable is intended for signal transmission between measurement instruments with BNC interfaces. Typical examples include connecting the BNC output of a current sensor interface to an oscilloscope or memory recorder, transmitting synchronization signals between instruments, or connecting the output of a high-voltage divider to a power analyzer. When connecting current sensor interfaces such as the CT9557 to an oscilloscope, the 1.6 m L9217 version is particularly well suited, as it minimizes additional cable capacitance and susceptibility to external interference.
