The LR8531 Wireless Universal Module is a 15-channel measurement module for the
LR8450-01 Wireless Data Logger. Up to seven LR8531 modules can be connected to a
single LR8450-01, allowing users to record and transfer data via wireless LAN of up to 105
channels in a single device. By combining the LR8450-01 with seven LR8531 and four
U8551 plug-in modules the total setup can be extended to up to 165 channels.
This module supports precise DC voltage measurements with a direct input capacity of up to
100 V. Input signals are connected to the module through a spring-cage terminal block, providing a quick and secure, vibration-resistant connection. Its 300 V isolation to earth and
between channels ensures safe and reliable operation.
Additionally, the LR8531 can perform resistance measurements. Four-wire measurements
are available in four selectable measurement ranges (10 Ω, 20 Ω, 100 Ω, and 200 Ω) with an
accuracy of 0.1%, ensuring high-precision results for various applications.
The LR8531 can also measure temperature using thermocouples or RTDs (resistance
temperature detectors) of the types Pt100, Pt1000, and JPt100. Supported thermocouple
types include K, J, E, T, N, R, S, B, and C. The module can also capture humidity, making it
ideal for versatile applications from environmental monitoring to the evaluation of material
properties.
Its compatibility with various thermocouple and RTD types allows flexibility for diverse
thermal analysis tasks in research, industrial, and environmental settings. Each channel can
be configured individually, giving users the freedom to tailor the setups to their specific
testing requirements.
With a fast update interval of 10 ms and 16-bit A/D resolution, the LR8531 delivers highprecision data acquisition. The module offers nine measurement ranges, from ±10 mV to
±100 V, ensuring accurate readings across a variety of applications. To measure 4-20 mA
signals, a 250 Ω shunt resistor can be used with the 1-5 V range, adding to the module's
adaptability.
The LR8531 features wireless LAN capability, enabling seamless data transmission to the
LR8450-01 Wireless Data Logger for real-time monitoring and analysis on its LCD display. Its
compact design makes it ideal for installation in tight or hard-to-reach spaces. Additionally,
the module offers flexible power options, supporting the use of both an AC adapter and an
optional battery pack for versatile setup configurations.
This wireless module comes with an AC adapter (Z1008) and a mounting plate with screws,
allowing the module to be securely attached to a wall or other flat surface.
