The HIOKI L9840 is a set of two auxiliary earth spikes made of stainless steel, each with a length of 270 mm. In the earth measurement setup, the auxiliary earth spikes are used as auxiliary electrodes and serve as either a potential probe or a current probe depending on the measurement method.
The auxiliary earth spikes are intended for use with HIOKI Earth Testers such as FT6041, FT6041-91 and FT6031-50. They can be used with test leads L9841, L9842-11, L9842-22, L9843-51, L9843-52, L9845-31, L9845-33 and L9845-52. In measurement setups on hard surfaces, they are also used together with earth nets type 9050, where the earth spike is placed on the moistened earth net.
Auxiliary earth spikes type L9840 are included with the FT6041, FT6041-91 and FT6031-50 Earth Testers.
