The HIOKI DT4223 is a pocket digital multimeter designed for installation and service work. It allows fast AC and DC voltage checks with automatic AC/DC detection and non contact voltage detection, making it well suited for installation and service tasks where the applied voltage is not known.

With its extremely compact design, the DT4223 takes up very little space in a tool bag or jacket pocket. With battery installed and test leads connected, it weighs approximately 210 g, making it easy to carry without adding noticeable bulk. The instrument is powered by a single AAA battery and is protected by a silicone cover, supporting reliable use in everyday installation and service applications.

Measurement Ranges and Safety

The DT4223 features a clear 6000 count display and a straightforward operating concept for quick checks in everyday work. AC and DC voltage ranges from 600 mV to 600 V allow reliable measurements on control circuits as well as on mains voltage. Safety is ensured by measurement categories up to CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 300 V, allowing use on distribution boards and fixed installations.

Although extremely compact, the DT4223 is a high quality digital multimeter designed for professional installation, service and troubleshooting work. Like all HIOKI digital multimeters, the DT4223 is developed in Japan and manufactured at HIOKI’s own production facilities in Japan.

The front section of the contact pins is 48 mm long and has a diameter of 1.3 mm in the insulated area. Detailed Product OverviewThe L4934 small alligator clip set is an attachment for HIOKI test leads designed for temporary, hands free connection to conductors, terminals and component leads during measurements. The alligator clips are designed for attachment to the HIOKI test leads DT4911, L9207-10, L9208 and L9300 and can also be connected to the L4932 accessory. When used with DT4911, L9207-10 and L9208, the protective tip cap fitted to the test lead, which is required for measurements in higher measurement categories, is removed and replaced by the alligator clip. When used with the L9300, the protective tip cap is unlocked and slid back before attaching the alligator clip. The clip design supports connection to test points with diameters up to 4 mm. The L4934 is rated for a maximum current of 3 A and is suitable for measurements up to CAT II 600 V and CAT III 300 V when used as specified. When used with the compatible test leads or accessories, it is compatible with a wide range of HIOKI digital multimeters and clamp meters.
