The 9272-05 Clamp Sensor is an AC current sensor with an ME15W connector and selectable 20 A AC and 200 A AC ranges. It is designed for measuring low-frequency and distorted AC current waveforms, for example in inverter control systems and other power electronics applications. The sensor covers a frequency range from 1 Hz to 100 kHz. This makes it suitable for AC current measurement, harmonic analysis, FFT analysis and current waveform observation. The 9272-05 is not intended for DC current measurement.
The 9272-05 cannot be used as a standalone sensor. Compatible Power Analyzers support direct connection. Compatible Memory Recorders support direct connection when used with the U8977 Current Unit. For all other measuring instruments and modules, a compatible Sensor Unit is required. The connected measuring instrument must have an input impedance of at least 1 MΩ.
