Description
The insulated connector housings embed the BNC outer contact within a plastic body,
preventing unintended contact with grounded metal surfaces and increasing electrical safety
in higher-voltage measurement setups. The cable fulfills measurement category
requirements of CAT III 300 V and CAT II 600 V.
A ferrite element on the cable increases the impedance for high-frequency common-mode
currents on the cable shield and helps reduce interference in electrically noisy environments
with fast switching signals such as inverter or motor test systems.
With its longer cable length, the L9217-02 is particularly useful when measurement
instruments must be positioned further away from the measurement point. This situation
often occurs when using a high-voltage divider such as the HIOKI VT1005, for example when
the high-voltage tap point is located in a separated or restricted-access area during
measurement.
Typical connections include linking the output of a current sensor interface to oscilloscopes
or memory recorders, transmitting synchronization signals between instruments, or
connecting the output of a high-voltage divider to a power analyzer.
