Detailed Product Overview

The HIOKI CM4141-50 AC Clamp Multimeter is designed for AC current measurements in utility and power distribution systems. With three dedicated current ranges of 60 A, 600 A and 2000 A, it is suited for measurements on feeders, transformers and large AC loads where AC current measurement is the main requirement. Its narrow jaw design accommodates conductors up to 55 mm in diameter and, with a minimum jaw cross section of 11 mm, supports access between closely spaced cables in crowded switchgear and distribution panels. 


AC current measurement in utility and distribution systems

The CM4141-50 measures AC current in three ranges from 60 A to 2000 A and combines this with voltage measurement up to 1000 V AC/DC. This covers typical measurement tasks in substations, energy distribution systems and industrial power installations. The safety rating of CAT IV 600 V / CAT III 1000 V supports measurements close to the source of installation as well as in distribution environments.
With the 55 mm jaw opening, the instrument accommodates larger conductors and busbar connections, while the narrow jaw design supports access in compact installation spaces. This makes the instrument suitable for current measurements in power distribution equipment where conductor size and accessibility are both relevant. 


Multimeter functions for electrical maintenance

In addition to AC current measurement, the instrument provides voltage measurement up to 1000 V AC/DC together with resistance, continuity, diode test, frequency, temperature and inrush current measurement. Temperature measurement uses a K thermocouple such as the optional DT4910 Thermocouple (K). Automatic AC/DC detection, Max/Min/Avg, PEAK values, filter function and manual or auto hold support routine troubleshooting and maintenance work. 
These functions allow the CM4141-50 to be used not only for current measurements on large AC conductors but also for standard electrical test tasks during service and inspection work. This reduces the need to switch between a clamp meter and a separate multimeter in everyday field use. 


Bluetooth communication

Bluetooth communication is available with the optional Z3210 Bluetooth Adapter. Measurement values can be transferred to a smartphone or tablet for logging, documentation and report creation using the free GENNECT Cross app for iOS and Android. The app also supports harmonic analysis from the 1st to the 30th order. The Z3210 also supports HID functionality.
HIOKI clamp meters and clamp multimeters are developed and manufactured in Japan. At the company’s site in Nagano Prefecture, development, mechanics, electronics and current sensing technology are combined within one organization.
