In detail:
The HIOKI 3272 Power Supply Unit is designed to provide stable power to HIOKI Hallsensor-based zero-flux current probes. With 12 VDC and a maximum current of 600 mA, it ensures consistent power for precision measurements. The maximum current is distributed across both channels, each of which is equipped with a 2-pin LEMO connector. The power supply supports simultaneously powering one or two HIOKI sensors, though it cannot power the CT6710 and CT6711 multi-range current probes due to their higher power requirements. For other compatible sensors, the configuration limits are as follows when using a single type of probe per power supply:

  • CT6700 and CT6701: Up to 2 probes (each with approx. 250 mA consumption)
  • 3273-50 and 3274: Up to 1 probe (each with approx. 450 mA consumption)
  • 3275: Up to 1 probe (with approx. 600 mA consumption)
  • 3276: Up to 1 probe (with approx. 450 mA consumption)

Caution: HIOKI introduced the 2-pin LEMO connector for supplying power to Hall-sensorbased zero-flux current probes in the late 1990s. Today, many current sensors carrying other brand names use the same connector type, often with the same supply voltage and polarity as HIOKI. However, some sensors from third parties may have different specifications. Always verify compatibility to prevent damage or malfunction.
