Detailed Product Overview
The SA9001 is used together with the SA9002 Test Fixture as part of HIOKI’s SA2634-KIT Slurry Analysis System. Each pack contains 50 slurry sample containers (also referred to as electrode cells) for impedance measurement of N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP)-based lithiumion battery slurries. The nickel-plated electrode surfaces provide durable, low-resistance contact optimized for impedance analysis of NMP-based slurries. NMP-based slurries are mainly used in the development and production of cathode materials
such as Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese (NCM) and Nickel-Cobalt-Aluminum (NCA). The
performance of these electrodes strongly depends on the homogeneous dispersion of
conductive additives within the slurry. Because NMP effectively dissolves binder materials, it
enables uniform dispersion and coating, making impedance characterization a key tool for
process optimization.
Each container holds approximately 1 ml of slurry and is intended for single use to avoid
cross-contamination between measurements. When mounted in the SA9002 Test Fixture, it
defines the electrode geometry and ensures consistent contact conditions for reproducible
impedance measurements.
Although part of the SA2634-KIT Slurry Analysis System, the SA9001 sample containers can
also be purchased separately or used independently with other HIOKI LCR Meters and
impedance analyzers in combination with the SA9002 Test Fixture. The containers are
optimized for slurry materials; use with other conductive pastes may lead to different contact
characteristics and is not covered by HIOKI specifications.
