The 8970 Freq Unit is a 2-channel frequency and pulse measurement module for the memory recorders MR6000, MR6000-01, MR8847A, MR8848, MR8827, MR8740, MR8741 and MR8740T. It enables accurate measurement of frequency, rotational speed (RPM), pulse width and duty ratio via two electrically isolated input channels.
With a measurement range for pulse and frequency signals from very low frequencies up to 100 kHz, the module supports reliable acquisition of repetitive and pulse-based signals. In addition to frequency and RPM measurement, integration and pulse counting functions allow evaluation of accumulated events such as total rotations or pulses from flow meters, supporting detailed system analysis.
The module also supports encoder signal measurement, allowing evaluation of rotational speed and position from incremental encoder outputs.
A dedicated power frequency measurement mode enables precise monitoring of 50 Hz, 60 Hz and 400 Hz power systems.
Isolation up to 300 V AC/DC to ground allows safe operation in electrically demanding environments. Flexible trigger settings ensure stable and reproducible measurements.
