L2140
L2140 - 4-Terminal Test Lead Set for Extended-Reach DC Measurements
Key SpecificationsType: Four-terminal test lead set, red/blackMaximum rated voltage: 60 V DC Measurement type: DC resistance only (not suitable for AC impedance measurement) Red lead: 1.84 m, pogo-pin probe tip Ø 2.9 mm Black lead: 3.16 m, alligator clip for objects up to Ø 30 mm Contact pressure (pogo pin): Approx. 190 g initial, 250 g at 1 mm strokeConstruction: Four-terminal configuration; red and black leads not physically joined Compatible instruments: HIOKI RM3548-50, RM3548, and other DC four-terminal resistance meters Detailed Product OverviewThe L2140 test lead set is designed for DC four-terminal resistance measurements, originally developed for use with the HIOKI RM3548-50 portable resistance meter. It supports accurate measurements across widely spaced test points, such as during EV and hybrid vehicle maintenance, equipotential bonding tests, battery connection checks, motor winding inspections, or resistance verification on industrial motors, transformers, and power supply systems. The red lead features a straight, spring-loaded pogo-pin probe tip (tip diameter Ø 2.9 mm) that provides stable contact on screws, busbars, or metallic terminals. The black lead is equipped with a large alligator clip that securely grips objects up to Ø 30 mm, allowing reliable connection to grounding points or wide conductors. Each lead pair is configured for four-terminal measurement, with separate SOURCE and SENSE lines to minimize the influence of lead resistance and maintain measurement consistency even when measuring over longer distances. The leads are not physically joined, allowing flexible placement over several meters, which suits DC resistance measurement but not AC impedance testing, where parallel cable routing is required to reduce inductive effects. Rated for 60 V DC, the L2140 provides a sufficient safety margin for precision DC resistance testing. Although originally designed for the RM3548-50, it is also compatible with the earlier HIOKI RM3548 and with other instruments featuring compatible connectors. Its long and flexible design also makes it suitable for test bench applications, for example with resistance meters such as the HIOKI RM3545A.

L2141
L2141 - Rounded-tip pogo-pin test leads for four-terminal resistance measurement
Key SpecificationsType: Four-terminal test leads (red / black)Measurement type: DC resistance Tip type: Rounded gold-plated spring-loaded pogo pins (Ø 3.55 mm) Contact pressure: Approx. 1.2 kg at 4 mm stroke Lead length: 3.0 m (total, branch after 1.0 m; each lead 2.0 m) Construction: Four-terminal configuration (partly joined cable section) Compatible instruments: HIOKI RM3548-50, RM3548, and other DC four-terminal resistance meters Detailed Product OverviewThe L2141 test leads are designed for precise DC four-terminal resistance measurements with the HIOKI RM3548-50 portable resistance meter. They feature rounded, spring-loaded pogo-pin tips on both leads, providing stable and repeatable contact on metallic surfaces without damaging the material. This makes the L2141 ideal for precision resistance verification on clean or machined parts, such as bonding checks on metallic joints, equipotential verification in aircraft and vehicle maintenance, and inspection of conductive assemblies. Each lead pair is configured for four-terminal measurements, with separate SOURCE and SENSE lines to minimize the influence of lead resistance and maintain consistent lowresistance readings. The gold-plated pogo-pin tips (Ø 3.55 mm) ensure excellent conductivity and long-term durability, even during frequent measurement cycles. Each tip applies a contact pressure of approximately 1.2 kg at a 4 mm stroke to maintain reliable electrical contact on flat or even surfaces. The combined cable section allows convenient handling and reduces cable clutter during operation, while the split tip section provides independent positioning of the probes on the measurement surface. With a total length of 3.0 m, the L2141 offers sufficient reach for both benchtop and field applications. The L2141 is suitable for DC resistance measurements on uncoated and sensitive metal surfaces. For measurements through coatings or oxide layers, the L2142 puncture-pin type leads are recommended. Although originally developed for the HIOKI RM3548-50, the L2141 is also compatible with the earlier RM3548 and other DC four-terminal resistance meters featuring compatible connectors.

L2142
L2142 - Sharp-tip test leads for four-terminal resistance measurement
Key Specifications Type: Four-terminal test leads (red / black)Measurement type: DC resistance Tip type: Sharp gold-plated spring-loaded pogo pins (Ø 3.55 mm)Contact pressure: Approx. 1.2 kg at 4 mm stroke Lead length: 3.0 m (total, branch after 1.0 m; each lead 2.0 m) Construction: Four-terminal configuration (partly joined cable section)Compatible instruments: HIOKI RM3548-50, RM3548, and other DC four-terminal resistance meters  Detailed Product OverviewThe L2142 test leads are designed for precise DC four-terminal resistance measurements with the HIOKI RM3548-50 portable resistance meter. In contrast to the L2141, they feature sharp, spring-loaded pogo-pin tips on both leads, allowing stable contact by penetrating paint, oxide, or other surface coatings to reach the conductive base material. This makes the L2142 ideal for resistance verification on coated or oxidized metal parts, such as grounding checks on painted frames, bus bars, or motor housings. Each tip applies a contact pressure of approximately 1.2 kg at a 4 mm stroke to maintain reliable electrical contact on coated surfaces. The combined cable section allows convenient handling and reduces cable clutter during operation, while the split tip section provides independent positioning of the probes across wider measurement points. With a total length of 3.0 m and a branch after 1.0 m, the L2142 offers sufficient reach for both benchtop and field applications, even when measuring large structures or widely spaced terminals. The L2142 is suitable for DC resistance measurements on painted or oxidized metal surfaces where coating removal is not possible. For measurements on clean or machined metal surfaces where coating penetration is not desired, the L2141 rounded-tip test leads are recommended. Although originally developed for the HIOKI RM3548-50, the L2142 is also compatible with the earlier RM3548 and other DC four-terminal resistance meters featuring compatible connectors.
