The HIOKI LR8432 Heat Flow Data Logger is a variant of the popular LR8431 data logger. In addition to the functions and specifications of the LR8431, the LR8432 offers direct input for heat flow sensors, eliminating the need for manual conversion of the sensors' measured voltage values. Furthermore, the LR8432 features 6 voltage ranges instead of 5, with the additional 10 mV range enabling a smallest voltage resolution of 500 nV.The LR8432 is a compact, high-performance device designed for precise and efficient multichannel data collection. It features 10 isolated analog and 4 pulse channels, enabling comprehensive monitoring across various parameters. Supporting real-time data recording with an impressive 10 ms update interval, it is ideal for capturing fast-changing signals. With a smallest voltage resolution of 500 nV and 6 voltage ranges from 10 mV to 60 VDC, the LR8432 adapts to diverse industrial .
The logger can be powered in multiple ways, offering flexibility and convenience for users in different settings. It comes with an included AC adapter that supports voltages from 100 to 240 V AC. Additionally, the logger can be powered by an optional battery pack for portable use, providing up to 2.5 hours of continuous operation. For longer use in field or in vehicles, the LR8432 also accepts a wide range DC power input from 10 to 16 V DC, ensuring reliable operation in various scenarios.
Analog voltage signals as well as various types of thermocouples are connected to the logger's input via M3 screw terminals. Additionally, heat flow sensors can be directly connected, with their sensitivity configurable in the logger's settings, to provide direct output of the measured heat flow value in W/m².
Equipped with a 16-bit delta-sigma A/D converter and proprietary digital filtering technology, the LR8432 effectively reduces noise, including inverter switching noise and line-frequency hum. This ensures that measurements remain accurate and reliable, even in electrically noisy environments.
