Product information CT6280 - Flexible Current Sensor for HIOKI AC Clamp Meters

The CT6280 flexible current sensor is based on a Rogowski coil and measures AC currents up to 4200 A continuous at 50 or 60 Hz. The flexible sensor loop has a diameter of 130 mm and a cross section of 5 mm, allowing installation around large conductors, busbars or multiple conductors where a conventional clamp meter cannot be placed around the conductor. The connection cable has a length of 800 mm.

The sensor connects directly to compatible HIOKI AC clamp meters using the same proprietary connector interface used for test leads. The CT6280 is supplied with the C0205 carrying case. Compatible instruments include the 3280-10F, CM3281, CM3289 and CM3291 clamp meters.

The CM3281 and CM3291 clamp meters do not fit into the supplied C0205 carrying case due to their larger clamp jaws. When the CT6280 is used together with these instruments, the larger optional 9812 carrying case is recommended for transporting the instrument and sensor together.
